Beet Burger with Orange-Avocado Salsa
VEGANserves a total of four ingredients:
- In addition to providing protein and vital minerals such as magnesium and iron, nut butter adds a savory, salty touch to dishes. 1 avocado (Haas kind) cubed
- 1 orange, chopped 1-pound beets (about 3-medium beets), peeled and quartered
- 1 cup chopped cilantro, split 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/4 cup almond or peanut butter
- 1 bun (vegan or not)
- To create the salsa, combine the avocado, orange, and 14 cup cilantro in a large mixing basin. Beets should be shredded in a food processor. Pulse until the oats, nut butter, garlic salt, and the remaining 34 cup cilantro are combined and the mixture becomes thick and sticky. Make 4 patties out of the mixture. Cook burgers on a grill over medium-high heat, turning once, until patties are beginning to brown, 6–8 minutes per side. Burgers should be placed in buns. Serve immediately with avocado salsa on top.

VEGETARIANServes Four chipotles in adobo sauce in a can offer a wonderful spice to an otherwise boring mushroom burger! INGREDIENTS:
- Button or cremini mushrooms, cut and quartered, 10 oz 2 tablespoons finely chopped chipotle in adobo
- 12 teaspoon garlic salt 2 eggs, 4 slices cheddar cheese, 4 whole-wheat English muffins, 1 medium tomato, thinly sliced
- 1 cup dry whole-wheat breadcrumbs
- Using a food processor, pulse together the mushrooms, chipotle pepper, and garlic salt until the mushrooms are finely diced. Combine the mushroom mixture, breadcrumbs, and egg in a large mixing bowl until well blended. Make 4 patties out of the mixture. Cook burgers on a grill over medium-high heat, turning once, until patties are beginning to brown, 5–7 minutes per side. Top each burger with cheese and heat for 1–2 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Transfer the burgers on the English muffins and sprinkle with tomato slices before serving them.

- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice

- 112 cups quick oats
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 large carrot, shredded
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 14 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 15-ounce cans pinto beans or black beans, drained
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon black pepper 8 burger buns
- Numerous lettuce leaves
- 1 tomato, cut
- 8 burger patties
In a large pan, heat the olive oil and sauté the chopped onion until translucent. Add in the minced garlic and cook for another minute, stirring constantly until the garlic is fragrant. Then, add the shredded carrot, cumin, and black pepper to the pan and mix well. Cook for a few more minutes, or until the carrot is soft, and then remove from the heat. Mash the drained beans in a large mixing basin, then stir in the onions, garlic, and carrot from the sautéed pan. Stir in the soy sauce, ketchup, and quick oats until everything is evenly distributed.
Check to see that your grill is oiled and ready to go before placing the patties on the grill. Make sure the edges of each are properly cooked before putting them on some buns and topping them with lettuce, tomato slices, and whatever condiment you choose.
Vegan Potato Salad
Prepare the following ingredients in advance to impress your friends with this vegan potato salad recipe:
- Peeled and diced potatoes (eight big potatoes)
- 3 tablespoons mustard
- 34-1 cup minced onion
- 1 tablespoon dried dill or 13 cup dill pickle relish
- 2/3 cup celery, diced
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon black pepper
To begin, boil the diced potatoes until they are just just soft. Once the potatoes are done, drain the water and place them in a large mixing basin to cool fully. Having previously purchased and reviewed Beyond Sausage, I was delighted to see that Beyond MeatCookout Classicburger was on sale at the Grocery Outlet a short while ago. Normally, a 10-pack of their burgers would cost roughly $17, but this one is on sale for $7.99, saving you money. This was a limited edition release from Beyond Meat, and they are no longer available for purchase on the company’s website, indicating that availability is extremely restricted at this time. The Grocery Outlet is also presently offering a substantial discount on Impossible Burgers, making this a fantastic time to test out both items and make a comparison between them.
- The Impossible Burger seems too meaty to me, therefore I prefer the more nuanced flavor of these Beyond Meat patties, despite the fact that I am a vegetarian. I prefer the Impossible Burger since it tastes too meaty to me. For those who are accustomed to eating meat, however, the Impossible Burger may be a more appealing option – but I recommend tasting both. How to cook Beyond Meat Classic Cookout burgers
On the most basic level, you freeze the burgers and defrost them in the refrigerator before to cooking them. You may defrost them at room temperature for a few hours if you want to cook them the same day, or in the refrigerator overnight if you plan to prepare them the next day. You can store them in the fridge for up to a week before cooking. The first time I tried to cook one from frozen, I discovered that it is not recommended since you may end up with a chilly or even frozen middle, depending on how you prepare them.
If I cook them according to the package directions, I fry them for 4 minutes each side on medium-high heat, and I occasionally top them with a piece of vegan cheese after turning them (I’ll get around to reviewing that cheese sometime!).
Take a raw hamburger and add herbs (thyme, sage, etc.) and spices (smoked paprika, mustard, etc.) before shaping the burger into breakfast sausages (see recipe below). Fortunately, because the burgers are pretty large, each one may be used to make three or four breakfast sausages.
Ethical rating for Beyond Meat Classic Cookout burgers
In the past, I’ve written on the sustainability of Beyond Meat for The Green Stars Project, and I’ve also reviewed Beyond Sausage on this website. The following reasons contribute to my overall opinion that Beyond Sausage merits 4.5/5 Green Stars for its social and environmental impact:
- A vegan product that does not cause suffering to animals
- According to a life-cycle evaluation, the Beyond Meat burger is significantly more sustainable than beef, reducing water use, land consumption, and greenhouse-gas emissions by more than 90 percent in each of these categories. A research conducted by Oxford University in 2018 looked at a variety of indicators, including carbon and pollutant footprints, as well as land usage. Peas and other legumes received the highest marks across the board. Because legumes, such as peas, fix their own nitrogen, they require far less fertilizer than other crops.
