Why only 7-months of yoga planner pages?

Every day planner I’ve ever owned has been *never* utilized on a daily basis by me. It makes me feel depressed. A large number of blank day planner pages (also known as TREES) are thrown away (and then I’m stuck carrying around all of these blank pages for an entire year). As a result, the dates at the top of the planning page are blank. You are responsible for filling up the dates. When you need structure and responsibility in your practice, turn to the planner for help. When you want to do nothing but make lists and free-form writing, turn to the blank journaling sheets.

You could easily go through the entire year with the yoga planning pages if you’re like me (and don’t use them while you’re on vacation, traveling for business, or when you’re too stressed or overly relaxed on weekends).

Is this book an agenda for all my appointments?

No. It is the purpose of this book to keep track of your personal yoga/meditation practice, daily to-do lists, self-care activities, and to elevate your mood by taking continuous action. As a site where you’d jot down and fill in all of your appointments, it’s less so (which I know I do completely on a 100 percent digital calendar). It’s likely that this hybrid planner/yoga journal may not be the ideal match if you’re searching for something more like an appointment diary that contains every single day, such as a “hourly appointment calendar,” rather than a hybrid planner/yoga journal.

Yoga journal how to start – Get started writing a yoga diary

Writing a yoga notebook can be challenging, but it can also be quite beneficial in terms of the yoga practice and the process of discovering more about yourself. Writing has never been a comfortable experience for me. It has never been the case, but over the years, as I have participated in yoga courses, ideas and insights have begun to surface. Perhaps the teacher says something really noteworthy in class, and I make a mental note of it, but by the time I get out of the shower and eat lunch, it has vanished into thin air due to my short attention span.

What I’ve been lacking is a yoga journal, which I’ve recently acquired.

This includes features such as setting weekly practice goals, saving favorite yoga classes, and picking up the yoga challenge right where you left off.

Another item in your yoga “toolbox” will be the creation of a diary, which will assist you in getting more out of your yoga practice.

No right or wrong

Whatever it is that you set your purpose towards, it might be beneficial to you on the mat if you are having difficulty. You may also take it with you off the mat and use it throughout the day or until your next practice session.

Write down your feelings

In this section, we have many things to consider, and while you may feel blissful after completing the class, it is important to consider how you felt before and during the practice. Your emotions, physical and mental feelings are something that everyone experiences; we must tune in and mindfully acknowledge these feelings. Perhaps you even experienced a spiritual awakening after class?

What did you learn on the yoga mat today?

Is it possible that you gained confidence in a deep backbend class and were able to reach for your heels in Ustrasana?

Or perhaps you learnt the opening mantra in the Ashtanga practice. Alternatively, you may have discovered something about yourself.

Awareness the energy levels

Most likely, this will vary from day to day, and what was it like before, during, and after the practice session will be different.

How was your breathing?

The process of noting in your yoga diary your breathing patterns throughout practice can assist you in being more aware of your breathing patterns. When practicing yoga, proper breathing is essential since it will keep you from injuring yourself. In order to make the yoga practice safe, I always teach breath first, followed by form, and then depth. Did you catch yourself holding your breath at any point? Was it a superficial experience or one that was conscious and deep?

What do you want to work on next time?

A wonderful method to keep things on track is to jot down what you want to focus on the next time. It also helps you to establish a link from one practice session to the next.
