Congestion in the chest, phlegmatic cough, and heaviness in the chest as a result of the cold and cough

Salt has the ability to break up a tenacious phlegmatic cough while also keeping the body warm and comfortable. Ghee has the capacity to penetrate deeper layers of the tissues, allowing the salt to be transported throughout the body. This combination is particularly effective during the early development years of kids, when mucosal congestion is a frequent visitor.

Ensure that the ceiling fan and air conditioning are turned off, as well as that all of the doors and windows are closed, before applying the saline ghee. The application should be completed in a confined space with little or no air or wind blowing through it. Research seeks dissolving metal implants for broken bones

Over the last several decades, metal screws and plates have been surgically placed to stabilize shattered bones and keep them in place while they recover. However, the metals utilized, which are often titanium or stainless steel, do not disintegrate once their function is over and remain in the body for the duration of the patient’s life. In certain circumstances, the body perceives the metal as a foreign thing and assaults it, resulting in infection and discomfort. In these instances, the implants must be surgically removed from the body.

The purpose of this study was to compare the fatty acid content of ghrita made using traditional/Ayurvedic methods with commercial methods (direct cream method).

Materials and Methods:

An investigation of the fatty acid composition of gratta made using a traditional/Ayurvedic method as well as a commercial technique (direct cream method).

The distribution of fatty acids in inghritasamples made using the conventional method and the direct cream method, which is commercially available, was compared. Saturated fatty acids were found to be the most prevalent in both groups. The proportions of monounsaturated fatty acids and polyunsaturated fatty acids were in the range of 17-18 percent and 3-6 percent, respectively, in the oil. The amount of DHA found in ghee made using the traditional method of curd starting fermentation was much greater than in other types of ghee.

According to the findings, ghrita made using traditional ayurvedic methods includes a greater concentration of DHA, an omega-3 long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid that is a key component of retinal and brain cells and is helpful in the protection of many disorders. Ayurveda, Docosahexaenoic acid, ghrita, Omega-3 fatty acids, traditional approach are some keywords to remember.

When compared to butter, GheeorGhrita is made by boiling milk fats to clarify them, and it has a longer shelf life when kept at room temperature. A complicated fatty acid profile has been discovered in ghee, which has been demonstrated to have significant quantities of saturated fats and cholesterol. The composition of ghee varies depending on the source of the fat, which might be goat milk, sheep milk, cow milk, or buffalo milk. In Indian families, ghee is mainly made using the traditional technique, but in the industrial sector, it is made using the straight cream process.

  1. Ghee has a relatively long shelf life, owing in part to its low moisture content and the possibility of anti-oxidant effects.
  2. Because of the presence of phospholipids, desi ghee has a superior storage quality than straight cream or creamery butter ghee.
  3. A study is conducted to determine the physical and chemical features of butter and ghee produced from cow, goat, and sheep milks.
  4. Ghee may be used to make butter, margarine, and other products.
  5. Milk fat includes more than 400 different fatty acids and isomers of those fatty acids.
  6. Saturated fatty acids (SFA) are a type of fat that is found in large amounts in animal products.
  7. The production of long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (LCPUFAs) such as docosahexenoic acid (DHA) and arachidonic acid (AA) occurs through the desaturation and elongation of precursors such as -linolenic acid (ALA, 18:3n-3) and linoleic acid (LA, 18:2n-6), respectively.
  8. Fish such as mackerel, salmon, and tuna, as well as fish oil and deep-sea algae, are excellent sources of DHA.
  9. Ghee is highly suggested in the daily diet as well as Ayurvedic therapies such as ” Panchakarma ” or ” Anupana ” (Vehicle) for a variety of ailments and diseases.
  10. On the other hand, it can be made by clarifying cream that has been obtained from raw whole milk on a commercial basis.

We conducted this study to determine the fatty acid content of ” ghrita ” made by both traditional household/Ayurvedic methods and commercial methods. The results showed that (direct cream method).

Cow milk was cooked before being allowed to cool at room temperature. A starting culture of approximately 10% curd was added, mixed, and cultured for 8-10 hours at room temperature before harvesting. The curd that had developed had been manually churned until butter had risen to the surface of the buttermilk. The butter was cleaned three or four times with water to eliminate any remaining butter milk, and then cooked in a stainless steel container until it became clear. After that, the clear liquid ” ghrita ” was decanted into a glass container.

Preparation of “ Ghee ” by direct cream method

Cow milk was heated and then allowed to cool to room temperature before being used in this recipe. It was incubated for 8-10 hours at room temperature with around 10% curd added as a starting culture and blended. This was done by hand until the curd had formed and butter had risen to the surface of the liquid. The butter was cleaned three or four times with water to eliminate any remaining butter milk before being cooked in a stainless steel container until it became clear. It was then decanted into a glass container, which was filled with clear liquid ” ghrita ”

Analysis of fatty acids

The fatty acid analysis was performed using a modified Bligh and Dyer technique. After placing 0.1 ml of hot “ghrita” into a glass test tube, 10 ml of 0.6 N methanolic HCl was added to the tube. This procedure was repeated twice more. The samples were incubated for 2 hours at 80 degrees Celsius. Three different hexane extractions were performed on the samples. In this experiment, hexane extracts were combined and concentrated under vacuum evaporation. GC Shimadzu B was used to do the analysis of fatty acid methyl esters (FAME).

The presence of fatty acids in the samples was determined by comparing their peaks to those of the external standard 68A.

Statistical analysis

The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to examine the data (SPSS software version: 11, Chicago, IL). Analysis of variance was used to determine whether or not there were statistically significant differences between the experimental groups. In all cases, the data is given as the mean minus the standard error of the mean (SEM); a P value of less than 0.05 was considered significant.

The distribution of fatty acids was compared between ghritasamples generated using the conventional technique and samples prepared using the direct cream method, which is commonly utilized in the industry. Saturated fatty acids were found to be the most prevalent fatty acids in both groups. Poly unsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) and mono unsaturated fatty acids (MUFA) were found to be in the range of 17-18 percent and 3-6 percent of the total fatty acid composition. There was no statistically significant difference between the two acids.

Table 1

The distribution of fatty acids in Ghrita made using the conventional method and the direct cream method is shown in Table 1.

Table 2

The distribution of selected Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids in Ghrita made by the conventional technique and the direct cream method (n = 3) was investigated.

As a result of the research, it was concluded that ghrita made using traditional Ayurvedic methods includes a greater concentration of DHA, which has favorable benefits on human health.
